At long last, Mr. & Mrs. Wortham!!

Andrew & Miler met in high school, at debate club. Miller had a SOLID crush on Andrew by the end of her freshman year!! They remained friends all the way through high school & even when Andrew finished high school and started at Clemson. Miller graduated after his freshman year of college, & about six weeks before she left for Covenant College, they officially started dating. With summer travel, they were long distance the rest of that summer before school started and have been long distance since!

At long last, the day that Miller & Andrew had been waiting for was finally here! You never know what weather May will bring in the South. But on May 16, 2021 – there was a cool breeze & soft cloud cover! The girls were chattering in the parlor as Bliss hair & make-up took care of Miller & the bridesmaids hair. Meanwhile, the boys played cards & hung out in the conference room. Andrew quickly got dressed & was READY to see his bride!

Miller on the other hand, took her time soaking in the last few minutes as she & her mama slipped on her wedding dress. Tears filled her eyes as she looked up. “Mama!” Miller said, “I am so thankful for Andrew but I am sad too because this will be Andrew’s job now.”  Miller’s Mama answered, “And praise the Lord for that! That’s His perfect plan for you, Miller!” This sweet mama held it together for her little girl as she held back tears as she watched her daughter transform into a bride right before her eyes!

We slipped Miller out into the garden beside the church for the bride & groom first look. They could hardly believe their eyes – the day was finally here that Andrew would call Miller his wife! Before their ceremony, Miller & Andrew took time to pray with their bridesmaids & groomsmen – Miller’s prayer echoed through the room as she held her grandmother’s hand,  “Thank you for the generations of believing women who went before me. Thank you for your grace in my life. Thank you that I am your daughter! Thank you for my family and all the years I had at home with my parents & siblings. Thank you for my husband. Would you please bless our home & our family as we walk in your ways? Please prepare me to be a godly & faithful wife for Andrew as I step into this new role.”

Finally it was time to walk down the aisle – the church doors opened & Mr. Green walked his daughter down the aisle. We could tell there was both sadness & joy mixed as he handed over his baby girl to Andrew! The pastor’s voice called out, “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!” With hope & sincerity, Andrew & Miller pledged their life & love to one another & were officially pronounced HUSBAND & WIFE!!

Miller & Andrew danced & rejoiced w for the rest of the night at the beautiful Aurora Farms! The venue was filled with the most beautiful greenery & florals by Ashlyn_Stems. There was nothing but smiles & celebration as they soaked in their first few hours of marriage surrounded by their favorite people at the beautiful Aurora farms!! 

Friends – Praise the Lord!! He has sustained & carried you all this way – through long distance, medical school, Oxford study abroad, Covid, hard & long stretches of being apart – & NOW – you are husband & wife! He is faithful & will continue to carry you as you look to Him in your marriage. We couldn’t be more proud to call you friends & be cheering you on in this new race that you are running. Remember, “that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Grace & peace to you, Andrew & Miller!
