Cold, drizzling fall days have a way of becoming the perfect backdrop for a warm, storybook kind of event. Micah & Audrey’s wedding day was just that– full of laughter & joy that even raindrops couldn’t dampen.

Audrey & her girls got ready at Audrey’s childhood home, where the living room was bustling with life. They curled hair & eyelashes, each bridesmaid stepping into a dress of varying shades of lavender. Audrey’s mom helped her button up her lace Lilian West gown. Across town, the guys readied for the big day in their own way, with a game of hoops in a friend’s driveway.

Micah & Audrey met that day at a mutual friend’s home, just the two of them, before the ceremony. The air filled with sweetness as Micah turned to see his bride for the first time in her wedding gown. Her punchy, purple-and-white bouquet spilled over her dress as they both grinned ear to ear with joy.

The stamping of rain sounded just as the ceremony was about to begin, but Micah & Audrey didn’t mind. It was breathtaking watching them pledge their lives to each other under the trees as the pouring rain pelted the grass. Each drop delivered a surprising measure of peace, like a rich, precipitous blessing declared over the bride & groom & all who bore witness.

Audrey & Micah – We love you both & are praying for you. As we all prayed for you on your wedding day:
