As we’ve found to be true for so many couples in this season, the unfurling of best-laid plans often ushers in something magical. Lock & Amanda navigated the changing of their original wedding plans with flexibility & grace, first eloping in May, & then celebrating with their friends & family at The Avenue in August.

While it sprinkled outside, Amanda & her bridesmaids spent a relaxing morning lounging inside the Avenue’s beautiful bridal suite, wearing cool satin pjs & laughing over ombre-colored flutes of juicy orange, peach, & pink mimosas. Their bouquets were filled with dense, cream colored peonies & trumpet-shaped calla lilies. Pungent eucalyptus filled the room as they had their hair curled & pinned. Amanda slipped into a timeless satin off-the-shoulder bridal gown, and was ready to see her groom.

There’s something to be said for a couple that is already married, & yet still bursting with excitement to do their first look. Amanda & Lock were giddy to see each other that day. When they finally saw each other in the open space of the Avenue’s lobby, their joy filled every corner of the whole room. Lock couldn’t stop gushing about how beautiful Amanda was in her dress, & Amanda declared to her groom how much she loved him all day long.

In that same space a few hours later, they declared (again!) their marriage vows to one another in front of their family & friends. The five-minute ceremony packed a joyous punch, & as they were declared husband & wife (again!), everyone let out a loud cheer!

The elevators ferried everyone upstairs for the reception in style. The rain had ended, cooling the typically hot August evening, leaving the outdoor rooftop terrace lush & green. The band cued up, & the party started pumping! Amanda & Lock were so relaxed, & spent the whole evening with their friends & family on the dance floor!

Lock & Amanda, what a GIFT to be along with you for the FULL ride from your elopement in May to your wedding celebration. We truly admire how both of you have handled the stress of Covid-19, your thoughtfulness of others & most of all – how you have loved one another sincerely through the ups & downs!
