Heather & Wes married on the fourth of July at South Wind Ranch, & fittingly, in front of a backdrop of thick summer heat, saturated pink lemonade florals, &–of course–fireworks.
All day long, Heather & Wes grinned & spilled over with laughter. Their people did, too. Heather’s girls in the bridal suite buzzed with excitement, & Wes’ groomsmen held their joy & pride for their friend just behind sparkling eyes & pressed-lip smiles, broken intermittently by eruptions of laughter & back slaps.
Heather wore the flower crown she’d always dreamed of, delivering the scent of peonies & garden roses everywhere she went. Her dear father passed away when she was just a girl, & she honored him with his initials embroidered into her lace dress. Each detail was sentimental, sensuous, & told the story of who they were, who they were about to become together, & of the past & future faithfulness of their God.
When the time came for Heather & Wes to see each other, they were both walking joy bombs, confetti cannons, just waiting for the moment the string would be pulled. Wes turned to see his bride for the first time that day, & they both broke into huge tears of joy! Heather gave Wes all of her journals from growing up, along with a new journal: “Our Storybook.” In it, she wrote out the journey of their relationship & painted a watercolor of their first home together.
In front of the outdoor chapel, Heather’s mom walked her daughter down the aisle to a beaming groom, with every single friend & family member’s eyes filled with tears. Together, Heather & Wes worshipped & vowed to love one another in this next chapter of life.
Their reception was complete with delicious food from Highway 301 Food Truck & Southern Pressed Juicery, picnic blankets, a FUN dance party, & a full firework show!
Heather & Wes – WHAT an honor to call you friends & watch you grow in love & humility as you have learned to serve one another. Thank you for the gift of documenting your wedding day & letting us be first hand witnesses to your love! We LOVE you both!!
