If you can fall for someone during the awkward throes of middle school, then you might just have something special. Simeon & Elizabeth did — & they do. Their story began years ago, when they were both in the same sixth grade class. This June, the two became husband & wife!

The day of their wedding, the sky draped blue over Edinburgh West, a beautiful 16-acre property with an English conservatory, a Buckingham Palace style entrance gate, & long double driveway flanked with Victorian street lights. Elizabeth’s family & bridesmaids buzzed around with excitement, as well as Simeon’s family (he has eight siblings– all of whom’s names start with “S!”). The smell of eucalyptus & roses & the sounds of laughter peppered the place.

Simeon waited for his bride in front of the venue’s flower-adorned, scrolled iron gazebo. Elizabeth’s dress swished across the brick path & she smiled as she gently placed her hand on her groom-to-be’s arm. Right as Simeon turned to see his bride, rain began to fall, & Simeon & Elizabeth squeezed each other in delight! We quickly ran inside for the rest of their portraits. Gorgeous light filtered through the glass conservatory, making for the most beautiful photographs that day — no matter the weather!

Simeon’s dad officiated the wedding, & the ceremony was nothing short of rich, unreserved worship. They answered charges to love one another as Christ loves the church with hearty “[We] will’s” & “I do’s,” & Simeon & Elizabeth were declared the new Mr. & Mrs. Forrester!

Sweet Elizabeth & Simeon – thank you for the honor of standing by your side on your wedding day! It is a gift to know you two & see how the Lord has worked in both of your lives. May the Lord be gracious to you & shine His face upon you both & your marriage! All our love, The Rainsfords
