In the summer of 2017, Sydney & Drew decided to take a leap of faith. Drew had just been deployed by the Armed Forces, & they wanted to get married, so they decided to have a small elopement ceremony. Just months after the start of their marriage, Drew left for a two-year deployment. In December of 2019, he returned to his bride — just in time for Christmas! Finally reunited, Sydney & Drew decided they wanted to have the wedding celebration– a vow renewal–they’d always dreamed of!
The morning of their day felt like a real-life postcard– a quintessential spring day at the Bleckley Inn with the wind fluttering, carrying with it the smell of newly born blossoms. Sydney’s bridesmaids wore long, flowing dresses in lilac, & carried bouquets of white roses, peonies, & eucalyptus. All day long, Sydney carried with her a sweet calmness & excitement that felt so pure. When Drew finally saw his bride that day, he could hardly believe they had made it to this day!
After their heartfelt vow renewal, Sydney & Drew danced together, again, as husband & wife. They were slow & relaxed, a couple so at home with one another– now not only figuratively, but literally. Home, together. Emotional toasts from family members, a vivacious dance party, &–of course–lots of tater tots from Thoroughfare Food Truck made this such an incredible night.
Sydney & Drew, from the moment we first talked on the phone, we couldn’t wait to stand by your side & document your legacy. You both are the real deal – fighting for what is good, true, & beautiful! We are SO thankful for your example of waiting & sacrificing for one another. We love you both & THANK YOU for trusting us to capture your wedding day!
Love, The Rainsfords
