Richmond & Paiten first met in high school over nine years ago when they developed secret crushes on one another in engineering class– though, initially, they didn’t speak. Over time, they broke the ice & began a friendship. On January 6th, 2012, Richmond asked Paiten to be his girlfriend. And on June 29, 2019, Richmond & Paiten became husband & wife.

The day of their wedding was filled with the surety & anticipation that comes from having spent so many years together. Paiten glowed as she got ready at the Bleckley Station with her bridesmaids & mom, while just down the street, getting ready with his groomsmen, Richmond willed himself to wait just a little bit longer to see his bride.

Everything about the day matched their intensity: the white-hot sidewalks of June, the pumping of air conditioning, the men in full tuxedos, the women in silhouetted black dresses, & the squeals & hugs of friends & family. Paiten & her daddy both cried when he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. When it came time for the ceremony, Paiten floated down the aisle to her emotional groom. He couldn’t believe how beautiful she was! There at the Bleckley Station, these highschool sweethearts became husband & wife. After the pronouncement, we headed outside to take photos, & Richmond could barely look at his bride without crying. She was now his wife!

Inside the venue, every table was topped with a gold frame centerpiece handmade by Richmond, & their guests were invited to take polaroid photos of themselves for the guest book. Ceremony chairs were cleared to make way for the dance floor. And dance they did! Everyone had a fun time, Paiten got to use a fog gun (enough said!), & the two ended the night with an electric sparkler send-off!
