If wedding day rain is any indication of a bride and groom’s lucky future together, then Sydney & Doug are the luckiest! Though, to us,  it’s much more than that– these two were chosen for one another. Though the rain poured throughout the day at The Barn at Sitton Hill Farm, nothing could dampen their joy & excitement!

Inside the farm’s charming guest cottage, in the midst of buzzing bridesmaid activity, Sydney slipped into her wedding dress. Her mom stayed close by to help. Both Sydney’s dress & jewelry gleamed with pearls, a special symbol of her and Doug’s relationship. For every anniversary together, Doug has given Sydney a pair of pearl earrings. Adorned in them, & carrying a bouquet of orange chrysanthemums, blue thistles, & cream-colored roses, Sydney went to see her groom for the first time that day.

A giddy first look was followed by a cozy ceremony, which with the agile help of Katie Williams, was moved inside to the rustic barn. Their wedding guests were in for a few surprises that evening– the first, being the endearing, young-at-heart flower girls! The bride & the groom’s grandmothers sashayed down the aisle, tossing petals, putting a smile on everyone’s face. With their family, bridal party, & guests bearing witness, Doug & Sydney began their newest adventure as husband and wife!

At their reception, Doug & Sydney’s guests were in for one more treat– & we’re not just talking about cake. After the first dances, the Clemson Tiger Cub slid in on the dance floor!  He was a HUGE hit, and led everyone in the cadence count. He may have tried to eat some of the cake, too 🙂 It was a night filled with the most special, personalized memories for the new Mr. and Mrs. Owens!

Doug & Sydney, thank you for trusting us to capture photos that will last a lifetime!! We are so thrilled for you & can’t wait for you to embark on the adventure of marriage. We hope you had a wonderful honeymoon in Mexico & enjoyed all those tacos for Thanksgiving!! 😂
