How They Met

After some brief virtual interactions, working on the same projects in different cities, Molly first met Suraj as he walked in late to a meeting. After seeing Molly, Suraj was awestruck & lost track of everything else!!

Over the next 3 days Molly was in town, it happened to be Suraj’s last 3 days at the same company. Suraj was one track minded: doing little acts of kindness like giving her his computer monitor, bringing her a bagel, showing her a pizza spot, and singing karaoke with her. Those acts of kindness continued as countless visits between New York to Chattanooga were made over the following months. All the while, Molly & Suraj developed a strong bond of going the extra mile for each other as well as falling in love!

The Proposal Story

Suraj surprised Molly over Thanksgiving while she was visiting family in Chattanooga. She was hiking with her nephews when she stumbled upon a trail that had a sign pointing for her to re-route! She knew immediately – “This could be it! But Suraj isn’t here – What in the world?” At the end of the trail, there was Suraj – eagerly waiting for Molly. He told us, “I ate through an entire pack of gum waiting for Molly – I was SO nervous!!” He asked Molly to be his wife & they spent the rest of their Thanksgiving holiday celebrating with family.

We spent a rainy morning with Molly & Suraj at one of the newest spots in Greenville, SC : The Commons, for their engagement photos! This place is so fun & it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite spots to visit for a coffee at Methodical or a bite to eat at GB&D 🙂 If you’re local, you need to check it out!!
