When Josh & Erin first met, Erin was knee-deep in her latest bucket list item: to visit every waterfall in the Upstate. Josh quickly joined her in the adventure, & before they knew it, the two of them had managed to visit fourteen waterfalls– & fall in love!! Their pre-marriage adventures were the perfect prelude to their wedding day, as Josh and Erin were married in an open-air barn surrounded by the upcountry’s wild rolling hills.

Anticipation before the ceremony was thick, & Erin & Josh wept for joy as they read letters to one another from either side of a door before the ceremony. The austere church bells rang to reveal the bride, & as the doors of the barn opened, Erin & Josh glimpsed each other for the first time that day. After they declared their vows to each other, they served bread & wine to their bridal party & family. Christ’s love for his Bride was on full display!

The gorgeous gravity of the day was so clearly undergirded by Josh & Erin’s friends & family. Erin shared special moments with both her mom & her new mother-in-law before the ceremony, & her bridesmaids were so loving and supportive to their bride (and to us!) all day. The groomsmen were a hoot and made sure everybody cut loose a little bit!

The sounds of music, bursts of intermittent cheering, & crackling flames melded into a reception consisting of every Southerner’s idea of a good time: a bonfire, dancing, s’mores, cornhole, & the fourth quarter of a Clemson football game! Josh & Erin drove away from their ceremony in true fashion–in Josh’s dad’s vintage green truck!!
