Chattooga Belle Farm Wedding Photographer | Andrew & Vanessa
After an eleven week sabbatical, we are thrilled to be back photographing our wonderful couples! Vanessa & Andrew’s wedding day marked our first this fall, & it was such a joy to witness the joining of their two families. Vanessa’s Matron of Honor also happens to be one of our dearest friends, which made the day even sweeter. Family & friends flew in from all over the country– and even a few from across the pond!– to be a part of their wedding day.
Andrew & Vanessa were married at Chattooga Belle Farm, a beautiful vineyard & farm settled among the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Long Creek, South Carolina. Though early fall in the south grips stubbornly to summer’s hot temperatures, this day, we felt its release. Autumn was in the air & the views were stunning to match!
On site at Chattooga Belle Farm is their in-house distillery, where wine and spirits are crafted from the fruit grown in their vineyards. While the groomsmen shared a drink before the wedding, one of the bartenders offered to teach Andrew how to cask a bottle of their newest muscadine brandy, “Kwalusi,” that was released that very morning. Andrew then got to take the bottle home as a unique wedding gift!
Each detail of Andrew & Vanessa’s day told the story of their families’ unique legacies. Andrew caught his first glimpse of his bride as she floated down the aisle, clutching an elegant bouquet arranged by her mother and wrapped with her sister’s handkerchief. They began their own legacy as they each spoke earnest, handwritten vows to one another, & placed them in a wooden box to treasure & reread for years to come. Vanessa’s hair was adorned with her mother’s flower crown as she & Andrew shared their first dance to “Flowers in Your Hair” by the Lumineers. Their wedding day was the perfect mix of uninhibited, visceral celebration & slowed, thoughtful attentiveness!
Vanessa & Andrew, THANK YOU for trusting us to capture your wedding day!! It has been a joy to watch you two grow in your love for each other & to be first hand witnesses to your marriage. We are thrilled for you both as you begin this new adventure as husband & wife!
